What Are Cellular Shades?
Cellular shades are also known as
honeycomb shades. They are made from two sheets of fabric that once
combined form air pockets, or more commonly referred to as "cells." Together, these cells resemble the honeycomb as seen in beehives. The formation of
these cells creates a vacuum
for trapping air. As a result cellular
shades are extremely energy efficient. Made of color-fast,
non-woven polyester, they are simple to clean,
and extremely durable.
Cellular shades are available in both
single and double honeycomb cell designs
in a variety colors plus optional room-darkening
fabric.
